5 Reasons You Can Not Become A Video Games Tester! HomeThis is a featured page

Expert beta game testing isn't all that difficult. The truth is, you may even go as far as to say it's a simple job that doesn't call for a ridiculous amount of effort. All you've got to do is put the video game in, play through it like you normally would, record the game's bugs & glitches, then collect your paycheck right after you're finished with the assignment. Seriously, does that sound like a tough job to you? I doubt it!

You Need NOT Apply For Video Game Beta Tester Jobs When...

- You do not have at least 3 years of gaming experience. In all seriousness, you don't have to become a video game guru who has beaten each and every video game on the market. But then again, you will need to have basic knowledge of the video gaming industry and how video game development works. The more experience and information you have, the more well off you'll be with regards to landing video game beta tester jobs.

- You're not at least 18 years old. Some game companies have been known to hire (under limitations) gamers who're 16 years of age. Then again, this is usually a rare occurrence in the world of expert video game testing.

- You don't own a next-gen gaming console and/or a high-end gaming PC. Possessing both is better, but one or the other will do. If you are not current with gaming technologies, you don't have any hope .

- You do not possess a beta game testing resume. No resume means no consideration of any sort, period. Being a video game tester means having to do real work that NEEDS TO BE taken seriously. This isn't a spare time activity you do for fun on on the weekend -- it's a REAL job.

- You've lousy writing and grammar skills. Video game testers fill out a great many reports & forms which are used by video game programmers to fix & improve video games. If the reports are not thoroughly detailed and quickly comprehended, the developers can not do their job. If a programmer is not able to do his job, it generally implies the tester has failed to do his.

If the 5 things in the above list are not an issue for you, then you are indeed a candidate for expert video game testing. All that's remaining for you to do would be to begin seeking out video game tester jobs online -- and if you know where to look, then it's not going to take you more than a couple of weeks!
